Norman Revival Plan Overview

Norman Revival Plan is a very challenging game mode, requiring both high resource investment in multiple teams and skillful use of the combat mechanics.

When Norman Revival Plan starts, the player is first required to choose between Regular Battle (regular rewards, standard difficulty) or Pioneer Battle (great rewards, extreme difficulty). Players below level 85 will be assigned the easier Up-to-standard Battle difficulty, with reduced rewards.

Pioneer Battle is extremely challenging, and even well invested teams can struggle to complete stages.

The mode is only activated temporarily during patches. Three days after activation, the Combat Phase will start, allowing the player to start the challenge. This phase lasts for 10 days, after which the mode becomes unavailable. Players can choose to start the Combat Phase early by clearing any stage.
Starting the Combat Phase early doesn't grant any additional days of combat.

The game mode's objective is completing a set of levels (Mines) composed of 6 stages each. The last stage is called "Deep Hive" and is affected by several hazards, some of which can be disabled by completing certain stages. Completing the Deep Hive also automatically clears all stages in the Mine.

The Mines become increasingly more difficult by making enemies stronger and tougher and increasing the amount of teams required to finish a stage. If every team is full and the average BP is above a certain amount then Perfect Tactics is activated, granting all teams an extremely powerful damage buff.

IMPORTANT: to obtain every reward the player needs to complete the first 3 Mines in the first day after starting the Combat Phase, then clear the 4th Mine the following day, finishing with the 5th on the 3rd day.

Mission Structure

1 Team 2 Teams 3 Teams 4 Teams 5 Teams

To clear any stage the player needs Combat Points (the cost is 1 point per stage, or 6 per Mine). The Combat Phase starts with 18 Combat Points, so the first 3 Mines can be completed in 1 day. After that points are generated at a rate of 6 per day, meaning the 4th and 5th Mine can only be completed the 2nd and 3rd day respectively.

If the player leaves a stage that has been partially completed, all current progress will be saved. However, returning to the stage selection menu (by pressing back during team selection) will delete any progress saved.

While the challenge can be extremely tough, the player has access to many different ways of powering up their characters:
Physical/Elemental buff

Every team slot will be assigned a different elemental/physical damage buff similar to the ones found in War Zone, so making sure assigning characters to the correct team is highly recommended.

Selectable buff

The player will be able to select one special buff for every team. These buffs can only be activated for one team at a time, and they are each designed for a specific playstyle (examples are: buffs for dodging, reaching high combo counts, or doing consecutive 3-Pings). Selecting the one most appropriate to each team is key to successfully completing the hardest Mines.

Electricity

One of the resources exclusive to the game mode is Electricity, which can be spent to increase a specific team's overall ATK or max health. Electricity is generated automatically each day of Combat and by assignining high BP characters to the Power Station. More Electricity is available for the Regular and Up-to-standard difficulty.

Support

Additionally, the player will be able to assign one of their characters to the "Support" role, which will make it available to their friends and guildmates. Similarly, the player will also have access to a list of support characters during character selection. Using a support character costs a small amount of Cogs, increasing with each consecutive daily use. Cogs are only spent when successfully completing a level.

Systems and Rewards

The main goal of Norman Revival Plan is obtaining Tantalum Ore, as many of the best mission rewards are unlocked by collecting different amounts of ore (these rewards include items such as Black Cards or Hypertune Crystal α,Hypertune Crystal β. Tantalum Ore can then be spent to purchase CUB shards from the Shop, even after the game mode has ended.

Clearing each Mine also rewards players with 6★ Weapon Resonance Shards, regardless of the day of completion. Completing every Mine even at the 10th day is highly recommended as Electricity generation makes later days significantly less challenging and the Weapon Resonance Shards are highly valuable materials.

Miners

While a small amount of Tantalum Ore is obtained by clearing stages, the main way to generate it is by using the self-replicating Autonomous Miners obtained while clearing the Mines. Every 24 hours after Combat Phase starts, all collected miners will produce 10 ore each and increase in amount by 50% (exponential growth). To get every reward and the maximum amount of Ore the player needs to clear every Mine the day they become available. In case the player doesn't have enough time or simply wishes to wait, a "Prolonged Combat" option exists to delay all miner calculations by 24 hours, then catching up by applying them twice at the end of the pause.

Cover Tactic

In addition, after completing the third mine, the player will unlock access to "Cover Tactic", a secondary set of Mines which reward CUB research tickets and a small amount of Ore and Electricity. These do not require Combat Points to clear, but are instead unlocked daily starting from the 3rd day of Combat Phase.

General Tips

  • If the player exits a stage during the challenge, all previously successful teams will be saved, and the player will be able to swap memories and weapons from the successful teams to other characters, before resuming the challenge.
  • Combat points generation and ore collection happen each day at the same hour in which the Combat Phase was originally started.
  • If the player returns to the level selection menu all current stage progress will be reset.
  • The fastest way to clear a Mine is completing the Deep Hive first, as it automatically clears every other stage in the Mine.
  • By choosing Prolonged Combat, it is possible to gain access to the Cover Tactic stages and their Electricity reward before needing to clear Bollie Mine.
  • It is highly recommended to use Electricity and Support characters to enhance the weakest teams as the game mode doesn't reward speed, only completion.
