Main Story

Demon Bane and his two underlings, members of a gang named the Gung-Hoers, attempt to extort protection money from Pulao and the martial arts club she is part of. Pulao's Master tries to resolve things peacefully, but Demon Bane falsely blames the club members for attacking him first. Pulao chases the Gung-Hoers out of the club.

Shortly after, the Master falls to the ground, afflicted by the "Punini Virus." Pulao decides to seek a legendary celestial in the mountains capable of making an elixir that can cure any disease. The Master gifts her a sword and bids her farewell.

Pulao reaches the valley in the mountains where the celestials are rumored to live. She meets a panda near a lake, who turns out to be the celestial that she has been looking for. When Pulao asks for his help to save her Master, the celestial says that he cannot do anything about it because he does not have the most important ingredient for the elixir she needs: "Big Fish's Tear."

Pulao sets out to find Big Fish. She meets a man who claims to be a tour guide and asks him for directions. The tour guide, desperate to improve his job performance in order to avoid being fired, agrees to help her as long as she leaves him a good review. When the guide receives a call from his boss chastising him, Pulao defends him and speaks highly of his help in finding Big Fish. The tour guide gives Pulao a bottle to store Big Fish's tears as a token of his gratitude before the two part ways.

Pulao follows the tour guide’s directions and reaches a town where Big Fish lives. On her way to the docks, she bumps into a muscular man named Birdie. Birdie steals Pulao's sword and runs away to meet another man named Simpie. Simpie claims that searching for Big Fish only brings misfortune, and she should not go after it. Simpie explains that he once went after Big Fish's tears to impress his love interest. However, when he returned, she had already married another man and moved away. Simpie blames the loss of his love on Big Fish, but Pulao says that he is only blaming it on someone else to feel better. Simpie thanks Pulao for opening his eyes and gives her the directions for the next part of her search for Big Fish, offering to take her around the city during the night and take her to the docks the next day. He organizes a party in the town to display their hospitality. Pulao enjoys the party with the townspeople.

The next day, Pulao takes the ship as instructed by Simpie. She finds Big Fish, who turns out to be an azure whale, at the bottom of a water pillar. However, Big Fish says that he cannot give her his tears, as he has grown too old to feel like crying. Big Fish argues that with so many things to do, it's easier to simply shut one’s heart. Pulao responds that doing this in order to look stronger in the eyes of others only makes people sadder inside. Wiping her tears and forcing a smile, Pulao thanks Big Fish nonetheless, and declares that she will not force Big Fish to give her his tears and she will find another way to cure her master. This helps Big Fish remember his childhood days once again, making him shed a small tear. He urges Pulao to take it and go back to help those who need her.

Pulao makes her way back to the celestial and gives him the tear to make the elixir. She finally returns to her Master with the medicine. Immediately afterwards, the Gung-hoers return to the martial arts club to get their revenge on Pulao for kicking them out earlier.

Pulao eventually defeats the entire gang: Demon Bane, God Slayer, Heaven Breaker, and their leader, MC Solar. MC Solar apologizes to Pulao, saying that they just wanted to make a living. MC Solar explains that their true vocation lies in music, and they formed a band at some point. However, the band's lack of success made them realize that not everybody could follow their dreams, leading MC Solar and his companions to turn their dreams into weapons and become the Gung-hoers.

The recovered Master declares Pulao as the future master of the martial arts club and leaves it to her to decide what to do with the intruders. She offers them a new job in the martial arts club so that they can make a living without harassing others.

Pulao then wakes up in the Nighter. Her entire journey to cure her Master has been a dream. As she patrols the ship, she remarks that everyone in the Nighter has been working hard since the battle of Kowloong, and resolves herself to help as much as she can.

Meanwhile, in another corner of the ship, Huainan, who survived his supposed death during his escape attempt from the Nighter, is seen talking to Yin about the upcoming festival. Yin warns him that they should not show themselves in public.
