globLUL reading issue don't fail me now

Physical Teams

Competitive (Baseline)

This composition assumes levels of investment that will not be available for all players, as it is meant for those who wish to compete at higher levels. Players should use Competitive (Low Investment) as a guide for a more accessible team.
Blue

Luminance

Recommended investment: Leap Buff, SSS-rank
As Stigmata can rearrange her orbs in order of Red-Blue-Yellow, Luminance's optimal spot is in the Blue slot of the team. Luminance should avoid Red, as setting Rigor in Red allows for early and consistent activations of Rigor's QTE, avoids redundancy with the enemy gathering effects of Rigor's QTE and Stigmata's Blue Ping, and allows for the best teamwide synergy for Double QTE Triggers with Luminance's 4 set Da Vinci.
Luminance's Leap Buff is required for her to be an effective Physical Support. SSS-rank is unnecessary, but sees use in Phantom Pain Cage to allows quick usage of her signature move to set up a high CRIT rate buff as quickly as possible. Signature Weapon is a waste of resources unless players plan on giving Luminance Weapon Resonances.
Red

Rigor

Starter. Recommended investment: Leap Buff
As Stigmata can rearrange her orbs in order of Red-Blue-Yellow, Rigor's optimal spot is in the Red slot of the team. This allows for consistently early preparation of Rigor's QTE for Stigmata, and effective use of Double QTE Triggers with Luminance.
Rigor acts as the starter of this team as her Yellow Ping is a decently fast gap-closer, and to allow Luminance to buff Stigmata's CRIT rate. Buffing Stigmata's CRIT rate should almost always take priority over buffing Rigor, outside of very niche situations, like when facing Unknown Construct α in Phantom Pain Cage. Rigor should swap to Luminance as soon as she has closed the gap between her and the enemies.
Rigor's Leap Buff should be considered a minimum investment for this team as it increases her DPS by a significant amount. Rigor should be at least SS-rank in this composition, as the ability to reapply her Defense reduction debuff from off-field can greatly improve the team's potential output. SSS-rank is not necessary, but is highly recommended for the increase to her Defense reduction debuffs. Signature Weapon serves as another increase to Rigor's maximum Defense reduction and allows for Weapon Resonances.
Yellow
Leader

Stigmata

Leader. Recommended investment: SS3-rank, Signature Weapon
As Stigmata's QTE brings nothing to the team beyond off-field damage and other slots are better used by other members, she takes the remaining position in the team.
Stigmata's SS3-rank is currently unnecessary, but will become significantly stronger in the future with the release of Alisa: Echo. If players wish to prepare for this eventual increase in power, SS3-rank is very important to obtain. Her Signature Weapon is strongly recommended for consistently high amounts of Stigmata Will stacks to improve her signature move's damage. Weapon Resonances are not currently relevant to Stigmata if below SSS-rank, but will also become significantly more important in the future, as her SS3-rank does.

Competitive (Low Investment)

This composition requires good orb management to play optimally. Players should take advantage of Stigmata's ability to forcibly enter matrix to prioritize Pinging the necessary orbs to activate both Luminance and Rigor's QTEs.
This composition acts as a more budget friendly version of the Competitive team composition, offering guidelines for the minimum investments for the team to function while remaining accessible to F2P/players on a budget. Investment recommendations should be taken solely as such. Recommendations are not requirements for this composition to function, though they may greatly improve it.
Blue

Luminance

Recommended investment: Leap Buff
Red

Rigor

Yellow
Leader

Stigmata

Leader. Recommended investment: SS Rank
As Stigmata's QTE brings nothing to the team beyond off-field damage and other slots are better used by other members, she takes the remaining position in the team. Stigmata's SS-rank should be the top priority in this team as it can greatly improve her signature move's potential damage.

1st Gen (Crimson Abyss)

This team composition acts solely to show examples of older units that may be used to fill in empty slots of players' teams. This team is obsolete and will likely never be used in competitive content. This does not mean units shown here are useless, only that better options exist. This team composition overtakes 1st Gen (Entropy) in Phantom Pain Cage.
Blue

Luminance

Luminance should avoid being set anywhere but Blue as both Crimson Abyss and Rigor rely heavily on their Blue Pings. Crimson Abyss requires a Blue 3-Ping to activate her Core Passive, while Rigor benefits greatly from using her Blue Pings to reduce enemy Defense to increase her personal damage output.
Luminance's Leap Buff is required for her to be an effective Physical Support.
Red

Rigor

Starter.
Due to Crimson Abyss' SS-rank passive, Rosetta should be set in Red. With her SS-rank passive, Crimson Abyss' Red orb 3-Ping becomes a stronger option than her Yellow orb 3-Pings to activate her Core Passive..
Rigor acts as the starter of this team to close the gap initially and to allow Luminance to buff Crimson Abyss, as Luminance's CRIT rate buffs only apply to the next character to enter the field.
Rigor's Leap Buff should be considered a minimum investment for this team as it increases her DPS by a significant amount.
Yellow
Leader

Crimson Abyss

Leader.
With her SS-rank passive, Crimson Abyss' Red orb 3-Pings are stronger than her Yellow orb 3-Pings when activating her Core Passive. As such, Red orbs will be more frequently used than Yellow, making Yellow the optimal placement for Crimson Abyss.

1st Gen (Entropy)

TThis team composition acts solely to show examples of older units that may be used to fill in empty slots of players' teams. This team is obsolete and will likely never be used in competitive content. This does not mean units shown here are useless, only that better options exist. This team composition overtakes 1st Gen (Crimson Abyss) in War Zone.
Blue

Luminance

Luminance is best placed in Blue due to the frequent usage of Blue Pings by Entropy and Rigor.
Luminance's Leap Buff is required for her to be an effective Physical Support.
Red
Leader

Entropy

Leader.
Entropy should avoid any team slot other than Red, as he requires Yellow and Blue 3 Pings to activate his Core Passive. Red 3 Pings are rarely used as Entropy's Red Ping is more useful for activation of his Core Passive, rather then the potential damage from a 3 Ping.
Yellow

Rigor

Starter.
Rigor's optimal placement in this composition is Yellow, as her Leap Buff gives Rigor's QTE the ability to gather enemies. As Entropy's Blue Ping shares the same effects, Rigor is best set in Yellow to avoid redundancy and make best use of her QTE's effects, while also providing support for the coordinated shots from Entropy's Yellow Ping.

Beginner Friendly/F2P Options

This composition exists solely for new players who need a coverage team/general idea on where to start their team. Recommendations on investment will only be given if a unit can fill a specific niche. Players with more experience/access to more units should use this composition as nothing more than a guideline on how to fill empty slots the may have in their teams.
Blue

Eclipse

Red

Blast

Blast may serve as a temporary Attacker until a stronger option is available to players. She should be used solely as a last resort, and should be replaced with a stronger option as soon as possible.
Yellow

Storm

It is not recommended to invest in Storm, as Across the Ruined Sea will introduce new beginner missions that reward players with a S rank selector containing all S rank units up to Luna: Laurel. Players are strongly recommended to pick Rosetta: Rigor from the selector, as no other Physical Tank can come close to competing with Rigor's debuffs.
