Physical Teams

Main (Competitive)

This composition shows the recommended investment to compete at higher levels. Investment recommendations will not be available to the majority of players. Refer to Main (Budget) for a more accessible setup.
Blue

Echo

Starter. Recommended investment: SSS-Rank, Signature Weapon
Echo's optimal placement is in the Blue slot of the team. Echo should avoid Yellow as it is best used by Rigor.
Echo acts as the starter of this team to set up the Amplifier Class passive while quickly closing the gap with a Yellow 3-Ping, simultaneously setting up Rigor’s QTE to benefit Stigmata. Echo should swap to Stigmata as soon as she has closed the gap. Superna Awakening Echo is necessary to use this rotation opener consistently.
Echo's SSS-Rank can potentially be obtained without Researching through the Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass). SSS-Rank provides strong improvements to buffing potential, damage, and overall gameplay. Echo's Signature Weapon provides improvements to her buffs, damage output, and gameplay while significantly improving her team though access to Weapon Resonances and Weapon Harmonization.
Red
Leader

Stigmata

Leader. Recommended investment: SS3-Rank, Signature Weapon
As other slots are better used by other members, Stigmata takes the remaining position in the team.
Stigmata’s SS-Rank drastically increases her Signature Move's damage. SS3-Rank provides significant Energy gain, which can considerably increase DPS if utilized properly. Signature Weapon is very strongly recommended to quickly gain consistently high amounts of Stigmata Will stacks to maximize her Signature Move’s damage.
Yellow

Rigor

Recommended investment: Leap, SSS-Rank, Signature Weapon
Rigor is set on Yellow for optimal synergy with her teammates. The optimal start to this team’s rotation relies on Rigor’s placement in Yellow, while Echo’s 4 set Da Vinci from Weapon Harmonization can guarantee consistent use of her QTE.
Rigor's Leap should be considered a minimum investment for this team as it increases her DPS by a significant amount. Rigor should be at least SS-Rank in this composition, as the ability to reapply her Defense reduction debuff from off-field can greatly improve the team's potential output. SSS-Rank can potentially be obtained without Researching through the Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass). If accessible, it is highly recommended for the increase to her Defense reduction debuffs. Signature Weapon serves as another increase to Rigor's maximum Defense reduction and allows for Weapon Resonances.

Main (Budget)

This composition serves as a more budget friendly version of the Main (Competitive) composition, offering guidelines on where to begin further investment. Recommended investment should be taken as such. Players should only invest based on what they can reasonably afford before strictly following what is recommended.
Blue

Echo

Starter. Recommended investment: Signature Weapon
Echo's Signature Weapon significantly improves this team as it allows access to Weapon Harmonization. As Echo can be obtained and upgraded to SS-Rank without any cost by using Dormitory Dispatch, Phantom Pain Cage, and Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass), it is also recommended for this composition and can improve Echo through quality of life changes and damage increases.
Red
Leader

Stigmata

Leader. Recommended investment: SS-Rank
As other slots are better used by other members, Stigmata takes the remaining position in the team.
Stigmata's SS-Rank drastically improves her Signature Move's potential damage.
Yellow

Rigor

Recommended investment: Leap, SS-Rank
Rigor is set on Yellow for optimal synergy with her teammates. The optimal start to this team’s rotation relies on Rigor’s placement in Yellow, while Echo’s 4 set Da Vinci from Weapon Harmonization can guarantee consistent use of her QTE.
Rigor's Leap should be considered a minimum investment for this team as it increases her DPS by a significant amount. SS-Rank is a drastic improvement to Rigor's supportive capabilities, allowing her to apply her Defense Reduction debuffs with her QTE. SS-Rank can potentially be obtained without Researching through the Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass).

1st Gen (Crimson Abyss)

This team composition acts solely to show examples of older Constructs that may be used to fill in empty slots of players' teams. This team is no longer optimal and will see minimal use. This does not mean Constructs shown here that do not appear in stronger teams are useless, only that they are not the most effective option available.
Blue

Luminance

Starter.
Luminance should avoid being set anywhere but Blue as both Crimson Abyss and Rigor rely heavily on their Blue Pings. Crimson Abyss requires a Blue 3-Ping to activate her Core Passive, while Rigor benefits greatly from using her Blue Pings to reduce enemy Defense to increase her personal damage output.
Luminance acts as the starter of this team to set up for future rotations with the Level 18 effects of her Signature Move’s Leap. Luminance should swap to Crimson Abyss as soon as possible.
Luminance's Leap is required for her to be an effective Physical Support. If players plan on obtaining a Signature Weapon for Luminance, they should obtain Type Zero instead of Dragon Wind, as Dragon Wind is sub-optimal despite being her Signature Weapon.
Red

Rigor

Before gaining her Leap, Crimson Abyss' Red Ping was a stronger option for activating her Core Passive due to her SS-Rank passive. With the introduction of her Leap, Crimson Abyss' Yellow and Red Pings are equal in strength, meaning no changes need to be made to team placements.
Rigor's Leap should be considered a minimum investment for this team as it increases her DPS by a significant amount.
Yellow
Leader

Crimson Abyss

Leader.
Before gaining her Leap, Crimson Abyss' Red Ping was a stronger option for activating her Core Passive due to her SS-Rank passive. As such, Yellow Pings were only used if necessary, making Yellow the optimal team slot for Crimson Abyss.
Crimson Abyss' Leap significantly improves both her functionality and damage, and is highly recommended if players wish to use her as their Physical Attacker.

1st Gen (Entropy)

This team composition acts solely to show examples of older Constructs that may be used to fill in empty slots of players' teams. This team is no longer optimal and will see minimal use. This does not mean Constructs shown here that do not appear in stronger teams are useless, only that they are not the most effective option available.
Blue

Luminance

Starter.
Luminance is best placed in Blue due to the frequent usage of Blue Pings by Entropy and Rigor.
Luminance acts as the starter of this team to set up for future rotations with the Level 18 effects of her Signature Move’s Leap. Luminance should swap to Entropy as soon as possible.
Luminance's Leap is required for her to be an effective Physical Support. If players plan on obtaining a Signature Weapon for Luminance, they should obtain Type Zero instead of Dragon Wind, as Dragon Wind is sub-optimal despite being her Signature Weapon.
Red
Leader

Entropy

Leader.
Entropy should avoid any team slot other than Red as he requires Yellow and Blue 3-Pings to activate his Core Passive. Red 3-Pings are rarely used as Entropy's Red Ping is more useful for activation of his Core Passive rather than the potential damage from a 3-Ping.
Yellow

Rigor

Rigor's optimal placement in this composition is Yellow as her Leap gives her QTE the ability to gather enemies. As Entropy's Blue Ping shares the same effects, Rigor is best set in Yellow to avoid redundancy and make best use of her QTE's effects while providing optimal support.
Rigor's Leap should be considered a minimum investment for this team as it increases her DPS by a significant amount.

Beginner Friendly/F2P Options

This composition exists solely for new players who need a coverage team/general idea on where to start their team. Recommendations on investment will only be given if a Construct can fill a specific niche. Players with more experience/access to more Constructs should use this composition as nothing more than a guideline on how to fill empty slots they may have in their teams.
Blue

Zitherwoe

Zitherwoe is not recommended as a Physical Support, as enough shards to obtain Alisa: Echo can be obtained for free. However, the process to do so can be very time-consuming. As such, Zitherwoe may serve as a temporary replacement, at the cost of significantly lower performance in general content.
Zitherwoe may prove much more useful to players as a Support for Qu: Pavo and Pulao: Dragontoll, though she is required to be at SSS-Rank to be effective in this niche.
Red

Blast

Leader.
Blast may serve as a temporary Attacker until a stronger option is available to players. Bianca: Zero is potentially stronger than Blast, but is not listed as her use cases are more limited due to her lack of AoE.
Yellow

Storm

Starter.
It is not recommended to invest in Storm, as Across the Ruined Sea introduces beginner missions that reward players with a S-Rank selector containing all S-Rank Constructs up to Luna: Laurel. Players are strongly recommended to pick Rosetta: Rigor from the selector as there are no budget options for this role that come close to competing with Rigor's debuffs.
Ayla: Brilliance and Kamui: Bastion may also be used as budget alternatives for Physical Tanks. While both provide lower Defense reduction than Storm, they bring the benefit of being able to apply their debuffs from off-field, which may be more useful in many compositions.

Fire Teams

Main (Competitive)

This composition shows the recommended investment to compete at higher levels. Investment recommendations will not be available to the majority of players. Refer to Main (Budget) for a more accessible setup.
Blue

Hyperreal

Recommended investment: SS3-Rank, Signature Weapon
Hyperreal may also occasionally be set as Leader in War Zone.

As his Blue 3-Ping is rarely used and with other slots being better used by other members, Hyperreal should be set on Blue.
Hyperreal's Signature Weapon is highly recommended as it significantly improves his gameplay and potential damage. SS-Rank serves as a very strong overall boost to Hyperreal, while SS3-Rank solves potential Energy issues and indirectly improves damage output by allowing Hyperreal to switch his 2 set Memories, as he no longer requires 2 set Cottie.
Red

Empyrea

Starter. Recommended investment: Leap, SSS-Rank, Signature Weapon
Empyrea should be set on Red as both Hyperreal and Epitaph use Red 3-Pings very frequently.
Empyrea acts as the starter of this team to set up the Amplifier Class passive and to build up her Prayer gauge on her next switch-in. Empyrea should swap to Epitaph immediately.
SSS-Rank can potentially be obtained without Researching through the Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass). SS-Rank improves Empyrea's gameplay, potential damage, and buffs. SSS-Rank upon the same aspects, significantly improving her overall performance. Her Signature Weapon greatly improves her gameplay and allows use of Weapon Resonances, which can make a great difference in both her and the team's performance.
Yellow
Leader

Epitaph

Leader. Recommended investment: SS3-Rank, Signature Weapon
Epitaph should be set on Yellow to allow for consistent QTE triggers.
Epitaph's Signature Weapon vastly improves his rotations when used in conjunction with his SS-Rank, allowing for consistent use of multiple Signature Moves per rotation without any significant waste of time. SS3-Rank is recommended for players who can afford it due to the increase to Epitaph’s Fire Resistance reduction debuff. If affordable, SSS-Rank is strongly recommended for reduction to member swap cooldown, along with other improvements to Epitaph.

Main (Budget)

This composition serves as a more budget friendly version of the Main (Competitive) composition, offering guidelines on where to begin further investment. Recommended investment should be taken as such. Players should only invest based on what they can reasonably afford before strictly following what is recommended.
Blue

Hyperreal

Recommended investment: Signature Weapon
Hyperreal may also occasionally be set as Leader in War Zone.

As his Blue 3-Ping is rarely used and with other slots being better used by other members, Hyperreal should be set on Blue.
Hyperreal's Signature Weapon greatly improves his gameplay and damage potential, making it a strong recommendation for players who can afford it.
Red

Empyrea

Starter. Recommended investment: Leap, SS-Rank
Empyrea should be set on Red as both Hyperreal and Epitaph use Red 3-Pings very frequently.
Empyrea acts as the starter of this team to set up the Amplifier Class passive and to build up her Prayer gauge on her next switch-in if using her Signature Weapon. Empyrea should swap to Epitaph immediately.
Empyrea's SS-Rank is strongly recommended as it significantly improves her gameplay and increases her buffing potential. SS-Rank can potentially be obtained without Researching through the Tactical Assesment Manual (Battle Pass).
Yellow
Leader

Epitaph

Leader. Recommended investment: SS-Rank
Epitaph should be set on Yellow to allow for consistent QTE triggers.
While both SS-Rank and Signature Weapon are significant upgrades to Epitaph's overall performance, SS-Rank should take priority as it provides a stronger overall boost while also being easier to obtain, potentially being free through Phantom Pain Cage.

Starfarer

This team composition acts solely to show examples of older Constructs that may be used to fill in empty slots of players' teams. This team is no longer optimal and will see minimal use. This does not mean Constructs shown here that do not appear in stronger teams are useless, only that they are not the most effective option available.
Blue
Leader

Hyperreal

Leader.
As Hyperreal rarely uses Blue 3-Pings, his optimal slot in this composition is on Blue. If Starfarer has her Signature Weapon and Hyperreal is S5-Rank or higher, Hyperreal should swap placements with Empyrea.
Red

Empyrea

Frequent use of Red Pings and use of Da Vinci allow for consistent triggers of Empyrea's QTE.
If Starfarer has her Signature Weapon and Hyperreal is S5-Rank or higher, Hyperreal should swap placements with Empyrea.
Yellow

Starfarer

Starter.
Frequent use of Yellow Pings allow for consistent triggers of Starfarer's QTE.
Starfarer acts as the starter of this team to set up the Amplifier Class passive. If Starfarer is using her Signature Weapon, she can also use a Blue Ping to set up Fire Resistance reduction for Hyperreal. Starfarer should swap to Hyperreal as soon as possible, or immediately after using her Blue Ping if using her Signature Weapon.

1st Gen

This team composition acts solely to show examples of older Constructs that may be used to fill in empty slots of players' teams. This team is no longer optimal and will see minimal use. This does not mean Constructs shown here that do not appear in stronger teams are useless, only that they are not the most effective option available.
Blue

Pulse

Pulse should take the Blue slot in the team to allow Ember to semi-consistently trigger her QTE while offering the best synergy with Silverfang. If Pulse is used as a substitute Fire Tank while in a team with Liv: Empyrea, she should use her Main Build [1]. In this composition, Pulse uses her Pain Cage build [2] to effectively sub-DPS for Ember.
Red
Leader

Ember

Leader.
Despite Red being one of Ember's stronger options, controlling timings for QTEs becomes inconsistent due to her Red Ping's fast animation. This can lead to a portion of the Ping being unbuffed, leading to suboptimal damage output.
Yellow

Silverfang

Starter.
Silverfang takes Yellow as it provides consistent QTE and Da Vinci triggers as Yellow Pings are Ember's highest source of DPS, and will be used frequently. Ember's Yellow Ping animation is delayed enough that players can trigger Silverfang's QTE and activate Da Vinci in time for the Yellow Ping to damage enemies while being buffed, leading to Yellow being the most consistent slot when it comes to allowing Silverfang to support her team.
Silverfang acts as the starter of this team to allow Ember to use her switch-in skill. Silverfang should swap to Ember immediately.

Blue
Leader

Palefire

Leader.
Palefire may serve as a temporary Attacker until a stronger option is available to players. At SSS-Rank with his Leap, Palefire can outclass Karenina: Ember as a Fire Attacker. However, Lee: Hyperreal heavily outclasses both and is much more cost efficient.
Red

Silverfang

Starter.
Silverfang is a relatively weak Fire Support that does not see usage in competitive content. Replacing her with Liv: Empyrea is highly recommended to do as soon as possible.
Yellow

Brilliance

Brilliance may serve as a budget Elemental Tank for players without access to stronger Constructs. In this composition, she must be using 4 set Shakespeare and 2 set Gloria to reduce Fire Resistance.

Ice Teams

Main (Competitive)

This composition shows the recommended investment to compete at higher levels. Investment recommendations will not be available to the majority of players. Refer to Main (Budget) for a more accessible setup.
Blue

Kaleido

Recommended investment: SSS-Rank, Signature Weapon
Placement does not currently affect performance significantly outside of specific use cases and situations.
Kaleido's SSS-Rank can potentially be obtained without Researching through the Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass). SSS-Rank greatly improves Kaleido's buffing potential and provides a considerable boost to her damage output. Signature Weapon is highly recommended as it can greatly improve her supportive potential.
Red

Glory

Starter. Recommended investment: SS-Rank, Signature Weapon
Placement does not currently affect performance significantly outside of specific use cases and situations.
Glory acts as the starter of this team to set up the Amplifier Class passive and occasionally gap close for Shukra. Glory should switch to Shukra immediately.
Glory's Signature Weapon is highly recommended as he cannot apply his innate Ice Resistance reduction debuffs from off-field without it. SSS-Rank is recommended for spenders due to the increase to his Ice Resistance reduction debuff.
Yellow
Leader

Shukra

Leader. Recommended investment: SS3-Rank, Signature Weapon
Placement does not currently affect performance significantly outside of specific use cases and situations.
Shukra's SS3-Rank provides drastic improvements to her damage output. Signature Weapon improves gameplay and allows for Weapon Resonances and Harmonization, which can greatly improve her overall functionality. SSS-Rank is recommended due to Ice's current optimal setup. Optimal play currently discourages swapping due to Glory's low damage output. Shukra's SSS-Rank can help greatly to remedy certain downsides this has. Without it, players will need to rely on the Deadline Timing Weapon Resonance to achieve a similar effect.

Main (Budget)

This composition serves as a more budget friendly version of the Main (Competitive) composition, offering guidelines on where to begin further investment. Recommended investment should be taken as such. Players should only invest based on what they can reasonably afford before strictly following what is recommended.
Blue
Leader

Kaleido

Leader. Recommended investment: Signature Weapon
Placement does not currently affect performance significantly outside of specific use cases and situations.
Signature Weapon is highly recommended as it can greatly improve her supportive potential. As Kaleido can be obtained and upgraded to SS-Rank without any cost by using Dormitory Dispatch, Phantom Pain Cage, and Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass), it is recommended to obtain.
Red

Glory

Starter. Recommended investment: Signature Weapon
Placement does not currently affect performance significantly outside of specific use cases and situations.
Glory acts as the starter of this team to set up the Amplifier Class passive and gap close for Shukra. Glory should switch to Shukra as soon as he has closed the gap.
Signature Weapon is recommended to allow Glory to apply his innate Ice Resistance Reduction debuff from off-field.
Yellow
Leader

Shukra

Leader. Recommended investment: SS-Rank
Placement does not currently affect performance significantly outside of specific use cases and situations.
Shukra's SS-Rank provides significant improvements to her damage output.

1st Gen

This team composition acts solely to show examples of older Constructs that may be used to fill in empty slots of players' teams. This team is no longer optimal and will see minimal use. This does not mean Constructs shown here that do not appear in stronger teams are useless, only that they are not the most effective option available.
Blue
Leader

Plume

Leader.
Plume should be set in the Blue slot due to a general lack of reliance on her Blue Pings, as her Red and Yellow 3-Pings are simply stronger options while in Arctic Form.
Red

Hypnos

Starter.
Hypnos is best set in Red for consistent QTE triggers from Plume's frequent use of Red 3-Pings.
Hypnos acts as the starter of this team to set up proper positioning. Hypnos should swap to Plume as soon as he has closed the gap.
Yellow

Glory

Glory takes the remaining slot in the team as his QTE can be triggered semi-consistently with Plume's Yellow 3-Pings and offers better synergy for Double QTE Triggers with Hypnos.

Beginner Friendly/F2P Options

This composition exists solely for new players who need a coverage team/general idea on where to start their team. Recommendations on investment will only be given if a Construct can fill a specific niche. Players with more experience/access to more Constructs should use this composition as nothing more than a guideline on how to fill empty slots the may have in their teams.
Blue
Leader

Vitrum

Leader.
Vitrum may serve as a strong alternative to Lucia: Plume, though high investment is required. The cost of necessary investment can be bypassed through the respective Shard farming mission. However, both options are significantly outclassed by Qu: Shukra.
Red

Hypnos

Starter.
Hypnos is currently severely outclassed by Ayla: Kaleido, who can be obtained for free through Dormitory Dispatch.
Yellow

Qilin

Qilin can serve as a temporary Tank for players’ Ice team. Qilin may be outperformed by Ayla: Brilliance’s Ice QTE Support [3] build when Lucia: Plume is the Main DPS.

Lightning Teams

Main (Competitive)

This composition shows the recommended investment to compete at higher levels. Investment recommendations will not be available to the majority of players. Refer to Main (Budget) for a more accessible setup.
Blue
Leader

Crimson Weave

Leader. Recommended investment: SS3-Rank, Signature Weapon
Crimson Weave may swap placements with Feral Scent in Phantom Pain Cage.

With optimal play, Crimson Weave will use Blue Pings extremely rarely. As such, she should be in the Blue slot of the team in order for optimal QTE usage.
Crimson Weave's Rank passives and Signature Weapon are both very significant increases to her personal damage. SS-Rank serves as a significant improvement to her DPS, while SS3-Rank allows for high optimization of her rotation. Weapon Resonances can also serve to greatly improve her overall gameplay and damage output.
Red

Garnet

Starter. Recommended investment: Leap, SSS-Rank, Signature Weapon
Frequent use of Red and Yellow Pings allow for consistent triggers of Garnet's QTE.
Garnet acts as the starter of this team to set up her Victorious War Flag with SS-Rank and the Amplifier Class passive immediately. Garnet should swap to Crimson Weave as soon as possible. Garnet may also use Blue Pings to close the gap in Phantom Pain Cage.
Garnet's SSS-Rank can potentially be obtained without Researching through the Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass). Garnet's SS-Rank and Signature Weapon are both strong improvements to her damage. SS-Rank allows Garnet to set her Victorious War Flag whenever swapping, allowing for constant application of her Lightning Resistance reduction debuff. Garnet’s Leap provides important quality of life changes and very considerable damage increases, significantly improving her performance. SSS-Rank is recommended to maximize her debuffs.
Yellow

Feral Scent

Recommended investment: SS3-Rank, Signature Weapon
Frequent use of Red and Yellow Pings allow for consistent triggers of Feral Scent's QTE. Feral Scent's Signature Weapon is strongly recommended as it brings strong improvements to her on-field and off-field benefits. Signature Weapon generates a 3-Ping on switch-in, allowing consistent effective use on-field. It also improves her innate Lightning Damage buffs and allows use of Weapon Harmonization, which can drastically improve her team support. Feral Scent’s Rank investment should be kept fairly consistent with Crimson Weave’s to see consistent on-field use, regardless of external modifiers. The difference should not exceed one sub-Rank lower than Crimson Weave. SS-Rank provides quality of life changes and significant damage increases, while SS3-Rank may allow for considerable optimization of her rotation.

Main (Budget)

This composition serves as a more budget friendly version of the Main (Competitive) composition, offering guidelines on where to begin further investment. Recommended investment should be taken as such. Players should only invest based on what they can reasonably afford before strictly following what is recommended. Researching No.21: Feral is greatly encouraged. Feral Scent provides significant improvement to the Lightning Team regardless of investment level, drastically outperforming Liv: Lux.
Blue
Leader

Crimson Weave

Leader. Recommended investment: SS-Rank
Crimson Weave may swap placements with Feral Scent in Phantom Pain Cage.

With optimal play, Crimson Weave will use Blue Pings extremely rarely. As such, she should be in the Blue slot of the team in order for optimal QTE usage.
Crimson Weave's SS-Rank passive serves as a significant increase to her personal damage output.
Red

Garnet

Starter. Recommended investment: Leap, SS-Rank
Garnet's SS-Rank passive allows her to set Victorious War Flag whenever swapping, setting up her debuffs for Crimson Weave's initial rotation and constant application when utilized in rotations. Garnet’s Leap provides important quality of life changes and very considerable damage increases, significantly improving her performance. SS-Rank can potentially be obtained without Researching through the Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass).
Yellow

Feral Scent

Recommended investment: Signature Weapon
Frequent use of Red and Yellow Pings allow for consistent triggers of Feral Scent's QTE. Refer to the notes in Main (Competitive) when attempting to use Feral Scent on-field. Switching to Feral Scent significantly improves the team, however, certain investments may be necessary to obtain first. Feral Scent's Signature Weapon is strongly recommended if affordable for the large overall improvement to the team’s performance. Signature Weapon increases her innate Lightning Damage buffs and allows access to Weapon Harmonization, which can drastically improve her team support. Orb generation on switch-in also greatly improves on-field potential, if ever necessary.

1st Gen

This team composition acts solely to show examples of older Constructs that may be used to fill in empty slots of players' teams. This team is no longer optimal and will see minimal use. This does not mean Constructs shown here that do not appear in stronger teams are useless, only that they are not the most effective option available.
Blue
Leader

Veritas

Leader.
Before the introduction of her Leap, Veritas rarely used Blue 3-Pings, instead Pinging them as soon as she performed a Red 3-Ping to activate her Core Passive. As her Leap only serves to improve her functionality rather than change it, her optimal position remains on Blue.
Veritas' Leap is highly recommended as it solves significant gameplay issues and greatly improves her damage.
Red

Lux

Starter.
Lux set on Red to allow Veritas to consistently trigger Da Vinci's 4 set effects.
Lux acts as the starter of the team to allow Veritas to trigger a portion of her Core Passive without needing to spend any orbs. Lux should use a Yellow 3-Ping if available to set up Garnet's QTE then swap to Veritas. If a Yellow 3-Ping is unavailable, Lux should swap to Veritas immediately.
Yellow

Garnet

As other slots are better used by other teammates, Garnet should be set in Yellow. Garnet's QTE will primarily be triggered by Lux's 4 set Da Vinci, though players with SSS+ Rank Lux may be able to trigger Garnet's QTE semi-consistently with Lux's Yellow 3-Ping.
Garnet’s Leap provides important quality of life changes and very considerable damage increases, significantly improving her performance.

Blue

Lux

Starter.
Lux may still see usage in some content, but is severely outclassed by No.21: Feral. She may serve as a substitute for players without access to Feral Scent, though they may serve different purposes in the team.
Red
Leader

Indomitus

Leader.
Indomitus may serve as a temporary Attacker until a stronger option is available to players. If players must rely on budget options, Indomitus should be the first choice as his investment requirement to be effective in his role is much lower than Lucia: Dawn. While Dawn and Indomitus can equal each other as Lightning Attackers, Dawn will require her Leap, drastically increasing the cost of investment.
Yellow

Arclight

Arclight may serve as an effective temporary Lightning Tank for players without access to a stronger option.

Dark Teams

Main (Competitive)

This composition shows the recommended investment to compete at higher levels. Investment recommendations will not be available to the majority of players. Refer to Main (Budget) for a more accessible setup.
Blue

Capriccio

Starter. Recommended investment: SSS-Rank, Signature Weapon
Capriccio should be set in the Blue slot to allow Lost Lullaby and Scire to trigger her QTE while leaving the Red slot open for Scire, who benefits the team more in the Red team slot.
Capriccio acts as the starter to activate the Amplifier Class Passive. Capriccio should swap to Scire immediately. Capriccio's SSS-Rank can potentially be obtained without Researching through the Tactical Assessment Manual (Battle Pass). Capriccio's SSS-Rank greatly increases her buffing potential and improves her DPS. Capriccio's Signature Weapon should be considered a necessity for this team as Capriccio's DPS is reliant on her Signature Move being completed before the Amplifier Class passive runs out. Without her Signature Weapon, Capriccio cannot reliably gain Energy fast enough to perform her Signature Move every rotation.
Red

Scire

Recommended investment: SS3-Rank, Signature Weapon
Scire may swap placements with Capriccio in Phantom Pain Cage.

Red serves as the optimal slot for consistent usage of Scire's QTE for both Capriccio and Lost Lullaby, who both use Red 3-Pings frequently. SS3-Rank is should be considered a minimum as it remains an extremely significant increase to Scire's DPS. Scire's Signature Weapon should also be considered a necessity for this team as it greatly increases Scire's overall value and improves her synergy with Lost Lullaby. Signature Weapon also allows for use of the Deadline Timing Resonance, which is necessary for consistent activation of her SS3-Rank passive.
Yellow
Leader

Lost Lullaby

Leader. Recommended investment: SS3-Rank, Signature Weapon
As other slots are better used for other team members, Lost Lullaby takes the remaining position in the team.
Lost Lullaby's SS3-Rank passive and Signature Weapon are both significant increases to her personal damage and greatly improve her gameplay.

Main (Budget)

This composition serves as a more budget friendly version of the Main (Competitive) composition, offering guidelines on where to begin further investment. Recommended investment should be taken as such. Players should only invest based on what they can reasonably afford before strictly following what is recommended.
Blue

Capriccio

Starter. Recommended investment: Signature Weapon
Capriccio set in Blue allows for consistent usage of her QTE as Lost Lullaby uses Blue 3-Pings frequently.
Capriccio acts as the starter to activate the Amplifier Class Passive. Capriccio should swap to Lost Lullaby immediately. Signature Weapon is listed as recommended investment due to Weapon Resonances that buff the ATK of other members. Without SS3 Scire, SS3-Rank Teddy: Decryptor or SSS-Rank Vera: Rozen may be used in War Zone as swapping is suboptimal due to low overall team DPS.
Red

Scire

Recommended investment: Signature Weapon
Scire may swap placements with Capriccio in Phantom Pain Cage.

Scire set in Red allows for consistent usage of her QTE as Lost Lullaby uses Red 3-Pings frequently. When considering higher investment for Scire, her Signature Weapon should take priority above all else as it drastically improves her supportive potential.
Yellow
Leader

Lost Lullaby

Leader. Recommended investment: Signature Weapon
As other slots are better used for other members, Lost Lullaby takes the remaining position in the team. Lost Lullaby's Signature Weapon drastically improves her damage and gameplay.

1st Gen

This team composition acts solely to show examples of older Constructs that may be used to fill in empty slots of players' teams. This team is no longer optimal and will see minimal use. This does not mean Constructs shown here that do not appear in stronger teams are useless, only that they are not the most effective option available.
Blue

Rozen

Starter.
Laurel's ability to activate any QTEs outside of their cooldown allows for consistent use of all QTEs.
Rozen acts as the starter to allow Laurel to use her switch-in skill to fulfill a portion of her Core Passive. Rozen should swap to Laurel immediately.
Red
Leader

Laurel

Leader.
As Laurel can activate all available QTEs with her Core Passive and does not provide any support with her own QTE, she takes the remaining position in the team.
Yellow

Tenebrion

Laurel's ability to activate any QTEs outside of their cooldown allows for consistent use of all QTEs.

Blue

XXI

Starter.
At SSS-Rank, XXI may be able to match or outclass Kamui: Tenebrion. If below SSS-Rank, XXI may serve as a temporary option until raised to a higher Rank, or until players have obtained a stronger option.
Red
Leader

Astral

Leader.
Astral may serve as a temporary Attacker until a stronger option is available to players. Astral's Leap may allow him to be equal to S-Rank Luna: Laurel but only if Astral is SSS+ Rank at minimum. If Laurel is any higher than S-Rank, she will outclass Astral.
Yellow

Decryptor

Decryptor may see usage in certain higher investment compositions. This only applies when using a team composition that does not encourage switching between members, as Selena: Capriccio far outclasses Decryptor in swap playstyles.
