Kaleido was initially designed to have Hamlet's features to automatically detect Selena's Whale Song signals. However, the idea was later suspended due to many unsolved technical barriers.

The initial design didn't have many ornaments and was more in line with how a "combat frame" normally looked like. However, Ayla abandoned it immediately after seeing it, because it wasn't "Ayla" enough.

Ayla asked Constructs and technicians from various departments for advice and ideas during the development process. These ideas were more or less kept in Kaleido's final design with the overall performance balance of the frame considered. However, there are still opposite opinions such as "This part is not powerful enough!" or "Isn't it overly powerful?"

Ayla named this frame "Kaleido" because black, its main color theme, is a mixture of all colors. The stars look bright becuase of the black night sky. Black doesn't represent rejection but the warmth of tolerance.

After Constellia's mission, Iris Warbler members left for various reasons. But Ayla believes that they will be together again one day as long as she is still using Iris Warbler's Kaleido frame.
